Sands China announces bonus, wage adjustment

Sands China is rewarding its employees with a wage adjustment and discretionary bonus - which it says is in recognition of their contributions in 2018.

On Friday, Sands said it would pay a bonus equivalent to one month’s salary to all eligible non-management employees, while eligible management-level employees will be receiving a discretionary bonus based on the company’s Management Incentive Plan.

The salary adjustment, which becomes effective March 1, 2019, will see full-time team members on a salary of MOP13,000 or less be given a wage increase of MOP600 per month, representing a wage increase of around 4.6 and 6 percent.

On the other hand, those earning over MOP13,000 a month will be given a flat 2.5 percent pay rise.

“Sands China is very pleased to announce this discretionary bonus and wage adjustment for our team members,” said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd. “Our team members are the company’s greatest asset and the key to our success, and each and every one of them has my sincere gratitude for their contributions in 2018. As we mark the 15th anniversary of Sands Macao later this year, I look forward to working together with all our team members to continue delivering outstanding guest experiences and achieving more milestones.”
