Senna Fernandes appointed PATA executive board member


The Pacific Asia Travel Association has appointed Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, the Director of Macau’s tourism office, to serve as a member of the PATA Executive Board and as Chairman of the PATA Nominating Committee.

According to the government’s information bureau, she will focus on the Association’s aim to foster sustainable tourism development in Asia Pacific.

The PATA Executive Board determines industry policies and positions of PATA as the governing body of the Association. It is also responsible for governing the corporate affairs and operations of PATA. 

The Nominating Committee is primarily in charge of proposing a slate of candidates to fill vacant seats in the PATA Board.

Founded in 1951, PATA is a non-profit membership association dedicated to building responsible development of the Asia-Pacific travel and tourism industry. Macau has been a member of PATA since 1958.
