Seven arrested for illegally confining gamblers


Seven Vietnamese nationals have been charged for illegally detaining 13 gamblers who owed them money, says a report from the Military police in Cambodia’s Svay Rieng province.

According to the National Military Police, the group had been operating inside a casino in Bavet City, and had contacted relatives of the victims demanding they repay debts in return for the victim’s release.

The suspects were charged for illegal confinement.
