Silver Heritage appoints new CFO

Silver Heritage Group has announced another change in its leadership, with the appointment of Ben Watiwat as chief financial officer, effective Nov. 5.

He takes over from Basil Jong who was appointed in August last year.

Watiwat joints from SafetyCulture, an Australian venture-backed software company where he held the position of Head of Finance and Company Secretary. Prior to SafetyCulture, Ben held senior positions at Vocus Group, most recently as Head of Group Finance, with responsibilities across treasury, tax, M&A, capital management and external reporting.

“Having worked with Ben for a number of years at Vocus, I’m delighted he has accepted this role,” said James Spenceley, Silver Heritage’s Non-Executive Chairman. “Ben has significant experience and skills in capital management, compliance, risk, tax and reporting. Ben will be a significant asset for the business going forward.”

The Australia-listed group has seen the departure of several high-level executives this year, including non-executive chairman David Green in May. Last week, non-executive director Robert Benussi announced he was stepping down from the group, which has operations in Nepal and Vietnam.
