Silver Heritage Group appoints new director

The Silver Heritage Group has announced the appointment of Darryl Kaplan as a non-executive director of the company with immediate effect.

Kaplan has over thirty years experience in the fields of law, corporate finance and investments, primarily in Australia and South Africa. He previously worked as a lawyer at Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Sydney.

In October, Silver Heritage was hit by the resignations of Chairman James Spenceley and Non-Executive Director Michael Bassett, and the appointment of Kaplan appears to be an effort to rebuild.

The firm was forced to cease operations at the Phoenix International Club in Vietnam in March, which had previously produced about 45 percent of its income.

Silver Heritage still runs The Millionaire’s Club and Casino in Kathmandu, as well as Nepal’s first IR, the Tiger Palace Resort, in Bhairahawa.
