Australia-listed Silver Heritage Group has appointed Basil Jong as its new chief financial officer, with effect November 6, 2017.
Mr Jong replaces the current CFO, Martin Wright, who departs at the end of December.
Mr. Wright agreed to stay on until the end of the year in order to assist with the handover of responsibilities as well as the completion of the opening of Tiger Palace Resort.
Mr. Jong was most recently the CFO of the Brisbane Racing Club, which owns two race courses and has diversified revenue streams including EGMs.
He was involved in the finance aspects of multi-million dollar projects, including the acquisition of a sports club with EGMs.
Mr. Jong also has casino resort experience as the CFO of a Casino and Hotel Group that owns the Alice Springs Hotel Casino and Convention Centre, as well as the Wharf Casino in Queenstown.
Mr. Jong is a fellow of CPA Australia as well as CA of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
