Visitor arrivals to Singapore were down 3.6 percent in November to 1.14 million, though tourists from China rose 9.9 percent consolidating a recovery that began in October, according to figures from the Singapore Tourism Board.
Total China arrivals in November were 131,518, but for the first 11 months as a whole China numbers were down 25.7 percent. The decline was attributed to tighter Chinese visa regulations, coupled with political unrest in Thailand and the disappearance of flight MH370, which all dented China travel numbers to the region.
Visitors from Indonesia fell 8.1 percent in November, but were still the largest group at 219,037.
