SJM goes green with green shuttle bus service

SJM announced on Thursday that it will introduce a new “green energy shuttle bus service” starting in May, with the number of buses to increase in phases, local media reports.

The company said it will run its service with electric buses and compressed natural gas buses.

SJM said the latest addition supports the Secretariat for Transport and Public Works and the Transport Bureau ‘in achieving the target of gradually replacing the entire shuttle bus fleet of casino operators by new energy buses.

The announcement comes a day after Melco Resorts & Entertainment announced it has added a total of twenty electric buses to its shuttle fleet.

The zero-emission fleet includes eighteen tour coaches and two public bus style vehicles, and is scheduled to begin operations also in May.
