Star's Queen’s Wharf Brisbane begins construction

Construction has begun in earnest on Star Entertainment Group's $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Development, with heavy machine moved onsite over the past weekend.

The project is transitioning from two and a half years of demolition and excavation.

Star is building the property together with Hong Kong’s Chow Tai Fook Holdings and the Far East Consortium. It is expected to open in 2022.

Plans for the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct include four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new bars and restaurants, along with 2000 residential apartments for the completed major development.
