Slow NZ internet speeds may slow gaming

Deloitte New Zealand partner Darren Johnson says New Zealand’s slower internet speeds could hinder take-up of mobile gaming, which is expected to soar elsewhere, according to a local media report. Globally, Deloitte is predicting that oversized phone devices, somewhere between a phone and a tablet, will outsell ordinary tablets this year by $25 billion. Increased popularity of video streaming and gaming on mobile devices is the driving force behind the sale of these devices.
