Sochi casino grand opening today

The Sochi Casino and Resort, a five-star complex located on the Gorki Gorod mountain resort officially opens its doors today.

“Sochi Casino and Resort is a project with a unique concept for Russia in the spirit of the best casinos of Las Vegas. The grand opening of the casino will take place on January 5," said Domain LLC in a statement.

The entertainment complex includes a casino, two restaurants, a cabaret theater, a bar and other venues. Its casino will contain 569 slot machines and 70 gaming tables.

It is expected that over 43,000 guests will visit the complex every month.

According to Russian business daily RBC, investments in the project amounted to RUB 4 billion ($66.3 million), which Domain plans to pay off in a three-year time.

Domain also expects the turnover from the casino to reach RUB 4.6 billion in 2017, followed by "a significant growth" in the next two years.
