Star confirms Sydney property closure extension, QLD properties reopened
The Star Entertainment Group has confirmed it will be extending the closure of its Sydney casino to Friday July 16, in line with the announcement from NSW premier Gladys Berlijiklian on Wednesday.
The Star said that it will continue paying staff during the lockdown period, which will be going into its third week on Friday.
In Queensland, The Star has confirmed it has reopened its The Star Gold Coast on July 2, 2021 and Treasury Casino on July 3, 2021. The properties reopened with some restrictions, including 1 person per 4 square meters social distancing, mandatory mask wearing and patrons to be seated while eating or drinking - which are expected to remain in place for two weeks.
