Star Sydney to continue to pay staff through NSW lockdown

The Star Sydney says it will continue to pay its staff through the recent 14-day covid-19 lockdown which is expected to remain until at least July 9, 2021.

The state went into “stay-at-home” orders due to a community outbreak of the delta variant of covid-19.

Meanwhile, The Star’s Queensland operations will now undergo heavier social distancing restrictions due to the outbreak there. From 1am June 29, Star’s Queensland properties will remain open but under a 1 person per 4 square meter rule indoors, 1 person per 2 square meter outdoors, mandatory mask wearing and patrons required to be seated while eating or drinking.
