Star Vegas performing well says Donaco

Donaco International’s Star Vegas Resort and Club in Cambodia posted “massive” growth last year and is performing well ahead of its target, the company’s managing director said.

Last year the club’s net profit and revenue were up 57 percent and 86 percent respectively.

“The Star Vegas continues to grow, and in the four months to the end of October, is performing well ahead of the same period last year,” said Joey Lim.

Lim added that the club’s VIP room, which opened recently, is doing well and meeting expectations.

“[The VIP] business is in its infancy, having launched on 20 September, but is currently meeting expectations, with revenue for the company in its first full month of AUD941,000.”

Donaco acquired the Star Vegas, located near the border with Thailand, on July 1 for $360 million.
