Success Universe warns of profit decline

Success Universe announced that it recorded a significant decrease in profit after tax for the five months ended 31 May 2015 compared with corresponding period in 2014.

The decline was mainly attributable to the substantial decrease of the group’s shared profit of Ponte 16, the flagship investment project of the group, the company said in a filing, without giving monetary figures.

The company, which provides sales and technology services for China’s sports and welfare lottery businesses, also says it has struggled amid the downturn of Macau’s gaming sector since the second half of 2014 and the voluntary and temporary suspension of the paperless lottery sales in China.

“The Group is expected to record a significant decline in the unaudited consolidated interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2015 as compared with that for the last corresponding period,” the company added.
