Tasmania’s pokie revenue squeezed by new laws

Revenue from pokies in Tasmanian casinos has fallen by about $13 million, with income dropping 14 percent, following new rules from the Tasmanian Gaming Commission that impose restrictions on the advertising of gambling products, customer loyalty programs and access to cash. The commission’s new code came into effect in September last year, local media reports said.
