Thailand extends ban on intl flights until June 30

The Thai government has extended its ban on passenger flights for another month to June 30, in continued efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus, according to the country’s aviation authority.

No passenger flights originating outside the country will be allowed to land at Thai airports. Exceptions are made for military aircraft, emergency and technical landing, humanitarian aid, medicine and relief flights, repatriation, and cargo aircraft.

While Thailand does not allow gambling, the country is a highly popular destination for tourists from around the world, particularly mainland China.
