UB Infrastructure Projects Ltd applies for Goan casino license


UB Infrastructure Projects Ltd has reportedly applied for a casino license in Goa, local media reports quoting Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar.

The company, which has links to billionaire Vijay Mallya's business empire was said to have made a “plain application”, but does not mention the status of the application. The directors of UB Infrastructure Projects Limited are Ramakrishna Shivcharan, Ajay Kumar Vijay, and Manmohan Singh Kapur.

Five other companies have also applied for casino licenses in the state, including Delta Corp, MKM Grand Gaming and Entertainment, Goan Recreation Clubs, Eden Estates and Leisure and Goa Golf Club.

Currently, Goa has four operational offshore casinos and nearly a dozen onshore casinos found within five star resorts along Goa's coastline.
