Vietnam uncovers USD $470 million operation

Vietnam police arrested eight people in connection to a gambling ring operating illegal online gambling, horse racing and sports betting. Frozen accounts had balances upwards of USD $470 million, with one particular detected transfer of over USD $5 million. Police did not disclose details of the ongoing investigation, despite growing public curiosity and concern about the ring's operations, and whether it catered to locals and / or international punters.
