Villar tags South Korean firm to run new casino venture in Manila

The richest man in the Philippines (according to Forbes), is planning to build two new casinos in Villar City – his new massive $1 billion investment in Las Piñas.

According to PhilStar, Manuel Villar Jr has already partnered with a South Korean enterprise to operate the casinos ‘which will target foreign high rollers as well as domestic players’.
The complex is expected to also include an amusement park and area, as well as local facilities including schools, hospitals and parks.
Totaling 3,500 hectares, the ambitious project encompasses some 15 cities, including Las Piñas, Paranaque and Tagaytay.
Speaking to the publication, Villar noted that “This is going to be a work of a lifetime – even beyond my lifetime”.
All told, Villar city will comprise 15 satellite cities, aimed at residencies, tech and education.
“We will open the Brittany Hotel here, hopefully by December this year. We will also build a golf course nearby, a church, a coliseum where local and foreign artists can perform concerts, as well as a casino,” notes the publication.
