Thailand and China have agreed to waive visa requirements for each other's nationals, facilitating travel and tourism between the two countries. The new measure takes effect from March 1st.

After this development, the popularity of searches related to Thailand has surged seven-fold compared to previous days in China. Notably, searches for air tickets and hotels increased by more than six times.
Data from Macau's online travel agency, Trip.com Group, show increased searches for Thailand among residents of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Shandong, and other provinces.
The most searched destinations in Thailand by Chinese tourists include Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and Pattaya.
Thailand's government initially implemented a temporary visa waiver for Chinese travelers last September. The measure is about to end in February. However, the new agreement allows the visa-free policy to stay in place.
Currently, the Thai government is discussing the possibility of legalizing casinos, a topic that has already attracted the attention of almost all major gaming operators.
