The industry saw an enormous boom during the covid-19 pandemic, with esports viewership surging drastically in the vacuum left by traditional racing and sports events. This was not unnoticed by Asia’s online wagering operators, who saw a surge in revenue from their esports division in the year. This year’s Esports BAR returns to Cannes, France, and will be held on October 13-15, 2021 as a physical event. The three-day event has become one of the must-attend esports events globally, attracting both endemic and non-endemic companies in the global esports industry. It’s an event that has become known for its 1-to-1 matchmaking service that brings together esports industry leaders, and a 3-day forum featuring mentoring and insights from esports leaders and non-endemic brands. This year, the organizers have also put on a three-day virtual conference focusing on esports developments in Asia Pacific on October 20-22, just a week after the physical event in Cannes. Registration for Esports BAR Cannes is now open, with an early bird rate available until July 7.
