Your Daily Asia Gaming eBrief: Macau Pre-pandemic GGR a pipe dream - AGB Survey

Good morning. More than 36 percent of respondents to a recent survey by Asia Gaming Brief said they don’t expect Macau to ever return to its 2019 pre-pandemic GGR and that Macau’s recovery is reliant on Macau eventually shedding the zero-covid policy. Full survey results will be released as part of the November edition of AGBriefings Magazine, out next week.

BTW, we're observing All Saints Day on Tuesday and will be back with your daily eBrief on Wednesday.

What you need to know

  • Crown Resorts' investment grade rating has been reaffirmed after a Royal Commission report in Melbourne said the company could keep its license, despite its “disgraceful” behaviour.
  • Donaco International said its monthly cash burn in the third quarter was $380,408, far below a targeted range of $800,000 to $900,000 set last year.
  • Visitor arrivals to Macau are rebounding after Covid travel restrictions were lifted, helped by a marketing push from the Macau Tourism Office (MGTO).
