Zhuhai airport to add flights

Zhuhai airport plans to add more flights to improve connectivity to the Macau region.

According to the airport’s website, the summer-autumn timetable includes additional flights to Chengdu, Chongqing and Hangzhou. It also includes new routes to Hohhot in Inner Mongolia, Changde, Hengyang and Shantou beginning March 25.

The additions take the total number of air connections to 28 Chinese cities. Zhuhai is the neighboring city to Macau on the Chinese mainland.

China Southern Airlines is also expanding its fleet from eight to 11, expanding the number of flights by 16 percent to 414 per week.

A bridge linking Zhuhai, Macau and Hong Kong is scheduled to open later this year.
