140 speakers confirmed for Betting on Football

Fortuna Entertainment Group CEO Per Widerstrom, GVC Holdings COO Shay Segev and Ladbrokes ambassador Chris Kamara are just three of the key speakers at SBC Event’s Betting on Football 2017.

Held at Stamford Bridge on May 3-5, the fourth edition of the international football and betting trade conference will attract 140 industry leading speakers and more than 800 delegates.

Widerstrom, the Group CEO of the largest Central European betting operator, is speaking on a Betting Leaders Panel alongside Kindred Group CPO Britt Boeskov and 10Bet CEO David Bazak.

He commented: "It's a very interesting time for the sports betting sector not least from the perspectives of regulation, technology and consolidation. The Betting on Football is a great event to meet up with the industry stakeholders to further explore the opportunities and challenges in this dynamic time.”

The high-level speakers at #bofcon2017 will be split across four conference tracks, each made up of seven or eight 40 minute sessions, covering Leadership, Market Profiles, Marketing & Media and Trading & Operations.

Meanwhile, there will be expert insight from the likes of John O’Reilly, non-executive director for William Hill, BetStars’ managing director Zeno Ossko, Merkur board member Alexander Martin and EnergyBet’s managing director Marcin Sapinski, alongside GVC Holdings Group Trading & B2B director Jim Humberstone.

Betting on Football also has speakers representing clubs from three different levels of English football, as well as the CCO from seven-time European Cup winners, AC Milan. Jaap Kalma will be speaking about the Italian market while AFC Wimbledon’s commercial director Ivor Heller will be sharing his thoughts on the efforts to prevent match fixing. Other football organisations involved include La Liga, Liverpool, Leicester City, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United.
