500 Dot Com reorganizes Japan bribery investigation committee

500 Dot Com issued an announcement last Thursday that one of the four members of its Special Investigation Committee on the Japan bribery allegations has already stepped down and that a law firm has been hired as an advisor to the committee.

According to the company’s statement, Amy Yang Zhou, general manager of the International Collaboration Department of Tsinghua Unigroup, stepped down from the committee over “other professional commitments [that prevent] her from regularly attending the committee meetings.”

The committee is now composed of Shengwu Wu, chairman of the board, as well as independent directors Honghui Deng and Angel Yan Ki Wong.

Meanwhile, the King & Wood Mallesons law firm has been retained as legal advisor.
