51 arrested for running unlicensed lottery


Malaysian police have arrested 51 people who are suspected of being involved in unlicensed public lottery betting, local media reports.

State Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Azman Ayob said a total of 51 raids were conducted against individuals and syndicates for organizing illegal public lottery gambling.

All those arrested admitted to receiving bets for unlicensed public lottery gambling,” said Ayob in a statement.
