Alliance Global to focus on future-proofing its businesses

Alliance Global, the parent company of Travellers International Hotel Group said it is embarking on a five-year digital transformation program to future-proof its businesses, which include real estate, liquor, gaming, hospitality, restaurant, and infrastructure.

Alliance Global CEO Kevin Tan said the company will form a core group to “synergize” initiatives.

"This program allows us to study our existing technology across all businesses and assess where we can further enhance them and achieve innovative solutions," said Tan, quoted by local media outlet ABS CBN News.

Travellers International operates Resorts World Manila. Tan said the group is looking to enhance its RWM app to provide convenience to its guests and VIP.

The company will also look to potentially invest in technological innovations to support existing businesses, said Tan.

"We are open to acquiring platforms, and even companies, that focus on particular innovations that are relevant to our various businesses," he said.

Last week, Travellers International president Kingson Sian said he is confident that the group will continue tracking double-digit growth after a strong first quarter

Travelers reported a 46.5 percent gain in net revenue for Q1, helped by gaming and non-gaming activities. Net profit, however, fell in the quarter, due to increasing costs.
