Amaya rumored to be launching dedicated sports betting site

Industry domain market place GamblingInvest.com reports that Amaya Inc. is preparing to launch a dedicated sports betting portal under the brand ‘BetStars.com’.

GamblingInvest a specialist broker in gambling focused domains, claims that Amaya Inc under subsidiary Rational Intellectual Holdings has acquired a group of domains all connected with the brand term BetStars.com.

The BetStars.com domain was reportedly acquired late last month. The domain name was held by UK licensed operator WilsonBet who operated a white label betting site under the TGP Europe platform. WilsonBet had shut down its operations of BetStars.com on 30 June, to focus on its telephone betting services.

The domain broker did not disclose the sum of Rational Holdings’ purchase for BetStars.com. However verified by the DNJournal, it is reported that Rational Holdings has acquired BetStars.net through broker IP Twins for a sum of $10,000.

Rational Holdings has further supported its purchase of BetStars.com, by purchasing European domains’ BetStars.eu, BetStars.co.uk and BetStars.de to its portfolio in 2015.

Throughout 2014/15 Amaya Inc governance has stated that the company would look to expand its sports betting offering for its core European markets. In June 2015 Amaya Inc announced the launch of PokerStars UK betting product, processing sports betting wagers on select markets via the PokerStars 7 client.
