An even better, smarter, and faster way to make connections - JCM

In late 2014, JCM completed the acquisition of FutureLogic, thereby combining the two largest and most storied peripheral companies in the gaming industry. The acquisition was unique in that the product lines were complimentary, and the companies both have strong traditions and proud histories in the gaming industry. The acquisition allows the combined companies to focus on delivering even greater value to customers.

JCM and FutureLogic each had the enviable position of having both companies invest significantly in their Asia Pacific business initiatives. Post-acquisition, the efforts were focused on strengthening the sales and service networks and combining the product portfolio. The Macau office of the combined companies now features sales and service components, led by veteran JCM service manager Enoch Chan and his service team and recently joined salesman Jason ‘Jay’ Townsend, himself a long-time gaming salesman in Macau. We strengthened our existing Australia operation by adding systems and technical guru Rob Denham from FutureLogic to lead the charge on the new peripheral system products. Rob joins Matt Collaros and Elizabeth Hanham in our Sydney office. Hong Kong remains the logistics hub and Taiwan handles regional sales support. Tokyo continues to be the backbone of Asia-Pacific operations, with marketing, product management and senior management hubbed from there. All operations are led by JCM Global President Akiyoshi Isoi.

JCM has been the leader in bill validation, with the cutting-edge iVIZION bill validator product leading the way for new casino openings in the region. Additionally, the iPRO and UBA series have received critical acclaim and earned a significant market share over the years. FutureLogic, has been at the forefront of printer innovation and have received significant commercial and critical acclaim. Both JCM and FutureLogic held a similar philosophy:  While we were the global leaders in gaming hardware, we had to keep adding value to our products from a software standpoint to enable the customers (OEMs and operators) to increase their efficiency. To that extent, both companies developed a number of peripheral-centric system products like PromoNet, TableXchange, iV8, DNA and Ticket2Go. Products like PromoNet allow operators to utilize promotional couponing across the casino floor for various applications. For live table games, TableXchange allows for the issuing of tickets at the table, while iV8 allows for fast buy-in of cash and the acceptance of tickets at the table. Ticket2Go allows for existing games to be upgraded to ticket out machines. DNA is a detailed peripheral management suite that allows the operator to monitor the health of peripherals and allows for remote firmware downloads. JCM has long believed in a consultative sales model in which we seek to understand the client’s need before proposing the final mix of products. Thus, by bringing all these innovations and technologies under the JCM umbrella, we have unified the product strategy and mix for the operators and depending on their business needs a custom package of any or all these products can be tailored towards them.

While sales and product integration always lead to a cohesive and streamlined plan, the question that may be on a lot of customers’ minds is now that the two largest peripheral companies have come together: ‘What is JCM’s future Plan?’  The answer is simple once you have the money-in and money-out leadership roles:  We fervently believe that wagering instruments will continue to evolve as they did from coins, to cash, to tickets. Whether as natural a progression as accepting tickets on the table, as radical as mobile technologies to wager with on a gaming device to next generation hardware to cash acceptance at table games, and the software to tie them all together, you can be sure the combined engineering minds of JCM and FutureLogic engineers in California, Tokyo, Osaka and Las Vegas are developing a pathway that will keep the company and its customers ahead of the technology curve and ahead of consumer demand.

The message to the market is simple:  We are here for you as your partner, today and well into the future!
