Banyan Tree unit helps Laguna Lang Co seek casino partner

A unit of The Banyan Tree Group will help Vietnam’s Laguna Lang Co. to find an operator for its proposed gaming facilities, according to local media.

Banyan Tree Capital will oversee the Request for Concepts process, while Global Market Advisors will act as strategic procurement advisers.

The resort, which opened in 2013, is located north of the central coastal resort of Da Nang and will seek to target tourists from Asia and in particular China.  

"The master plan currently under consideration is to be awarded a gaming licence and we believe that experienced operators will be interested in the potential of integrated entertainment facilities and support the government's aim to boost Vietnam's tourism competitiveness,” the Business Times cited Banyan Tree Capital managing director Steve Small as saying.
