Bet365 (Australia) to adopt controversial ‘click to call’ service

Bet365 (Australia) is the latest online bookmaker to adopt the controversial ‘click to call’ wagering service, which is currently being investigated by Australia’s Federal Police with regards to breaching live betting regulations.

The operator follows Ladbrokes Australia and William Hill, which implemented the wagering mechanism in April. Both operators have stated that ‘click to call’ betting features fall within the boundaries of Australian online betting regulations set by the 2001 Australian Interactive Gambling Act.

‘Click to call’ allows customers to take bets on live markets by activating their devices microphone and connecting with a bookmaker agent who will process the selected wager. The bet can only be processed, if the customer confirms its placement.
