Police in the Hubei Province have busted a gambling house with over 17 gaming tables and two VIP rooms, disguised as a poker club, local media reports.

The gambling house, named Wuhan PK365 Club, hosted games of Texas Hold’em Poker and targeted well-educated gamblers. Over 140 gamblers and staff were arrested during the raid.

According to the provincial public security bureau, the gambling den made 300 million yuan (US$45.5 million) in the first half of 2015 alone.

The raids reflect an intensified crackdown on illegal gambling in China.
