CrownBet deal brings NSW clubs online

CrownBet has become the official betting partner of Clubs NSW, which will allow the online operator to offer its digital betting services to punters in NSW venues, local media reports.

Under the terms of the partnership, participating clubs in NSW for the first time will be able to earn commission on any bets made with CrownBet, while in-venue punters will be incentivized with club loyalty points.

CrownBet reportedly won the 10-year deal over three rivals: the TAB, Sportsbet .com.au and Betting. Club, after offering a higher commission structure for clubs, and generous reward structure for members.

"Our arrangement with CrownBet will ensure all NSW clubs get their fair share from digital bets and will help ensure the industry's long-term viability," said ClubsNSW CEO Anthony Ball.

The deal also marks the first time an online betting company in Australia has offered cash machine to take winnings directly out of betting accounts, rather than through electronic transfers to personal bank accounts.

"We're thrilled to receive this groundbreaking endorsement from ClubsNSW. Our plan is to change the entire wagering experience for the benefit of their members and guests," CrownBet CEO Matt Tripp said.
