Dafabet shutters UK casino operations

Online gambling operator Dafabet has announced it will be closing its UK facing online casino amid a raft of regulatory pressure in the industry, according to a report from Casino News Daily.

Dafabet Casino UK stopped accepting deposits on March 8, 2018, and will be allowing players to withdraw their funds until March 20, 2018.

The company said its sports betting operations would not be affected by the closure of its casino business, and did not give a reason for the closure of the casino business.

However, speculation has it that a tightening of UK regulations and pro-player actions by the Competitions and Marketing Authority may have contributed to the decision.

Dafabet is a subsidiary of AsianBGE which is based out of Philippines, it holds a UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) to offer gambling products, and is also known for its major football sponsorship deals.
