Disaster recovery essential

With just a week left until the ASEAN Gaming Summit, AGB interviews IPC about the importance of data protection, infrastructure and network security.

What kind of trends do you foresee in the South East Asia over the next few years?

We have seen a shift in the technology that businesses use these days, there has been a considerable increase in the utilization of hybrid setups - using both data center colocation and Infrastructure-as-a-Service. These have taken on and continue to share major roles in the day-to-day operations and ensuring the cost-efficiency of a business. Being based in South East Asia there is the persistent threat of typhoons, disaster recovery is an absolute essential. Another reason for the development of the hybrid setup.

There has also been importance placed on the role of infrastructure and network security as of late, with the ever growing number and complexity of DDoS attacks and website defacement tactics.

These trends have gone hand in hand with IPC’s growth over the years, being a pioneer provider of Enterprise Cloud Service and one that operates its own data center facilities and network infrastructure is beneficial to customers.

How is your company responding to these trends?

We have seen a rapid change in technology over the recent years, and it has been incredible to watch. This is why we have made it a point to continuously improve our products and innovate with future-proof products and services.

IPC is cementing its leadership in the region by providing IT solutions that are specifically designed to support the operations of various enterprises and gaming companies. We want to provide companies with all of their IT requirements as much as possible.
