Donaco enhances slot machine portfolio at Star Vegas

Casino operator Donaco International has announced the signing of a new agreement with RGB Ltd to enhance its slot machine portfolio at Star Vegas casino in Cambodia.

Donaco currently operates 1,522 slot machines at the Star Vegas property, with the majority of machines supplied by distributors under revenue share deals.

Under the new agreement, RGB will supply more than 900 new slot machines, worth more than US$25 million, replacing a number of old machines.

The slot machines to be supplied include machines from Aristocrat, Scientific Games, IGT and Konami.

RGB will also supply a sophisticated new slot machine and casino table game management system.

Donaco said there was no upfront cost for the supply of the machines, instead it would be done under revenue share deals similar to current arrangements.

Donaco says it expects the newer slot machines to generate increased slot machine revenue at Star Vegas.

“The company expects that the enhanced revenue will start to flow from December 2017, with the new slot machines and systems to be rolled out progressively over the following six months,” said the company in a filing to the ASX.

Donaco’s managing director, Mr. Joey Lim, said “We are very pleased to sign a new agreement with RGB to maintain and enhance our existing relationship. We have identified a significant opportunity to replace legacy equipment and business arrangements at the Star Vegas with improved deal terms, as well as the latest gaming technology and machines for our customers. This latest deal represents another step forward in Donaco putting its management stamp on the business.”
