Dynam Japan to enter resort business

Dynam Japan Holdings announced it will venture into resort development, which it sees as “a promising new business,” the company announced in a filing.

The company said it is well placed to move into the resort sphere as it has been operating pachinko halls for 48 years and has hired two to three hundred new university graduates annually since 1989, who have expertise in various aspects of operation and management of facilities.

“Having the shares of the company listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited in August 2012 enables the company to maintain its stable financial footing and earn global reputation. These are also the company’s advantages in entering into the resort development business.”

The company identified Marine Pier Toyoura DYNAM Training Institute in Yamaguchi prefecture as the intended site for a new resort.

A Resort Development Group will be established on 1 July 2015 and a basic plan will be prepared during the business year of 2015 with the aim of budgeting for the business year of 2016.

“The board considers that the entry into the resort development business is a good business opportunity to the group and it is in the interests of the shareholders of the company as a whole for the group to diversify its business scope so as to achieve better return to the shareholders.”
