Gamepind to rebrand, raise US$30 million for expansion

Alibaba-backed real money gaming venture Gamepind has announced it is rebranding itself as FirstGames, and is looking to raise US$30 million to expand its gaming platform, local media reports.

The platform, launched by Alibaba-owned AGTech offers over 300 games and quizzes for gaming enthusiasts and has garnered over 30 million registered users since launching in February 2018.

Earlier this year, Gamepind launched a rummy and fantasy sports product through e-commerce and digital wallets portal Paytm.

The firm is now looking to raise $30 million to expand its gaming platform and scale it with more games.
