Gaming employee average earnings rose in 17Q2


The average earnings of employees in the gaming sector rose 4.6 percent year-on-year in June 2017 to MOP 23,080 (per month), according to statistics from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).

Average earnings of dealers also increased, rising 5.1 percent to MOP 19,930.

In regards to the number of full-time employees in the sector, the total was similar to the prior year period, standing at 55,726.

Of this, the number of dealers dropped by 1.3 percent to 23,980.

Job vacancies however was significantly higher than the prior year period, with a total of 923 vacancies at the end of 17Q2, compared to 587 in 16Q2.

Most of the vacancies were for clerks (51.1 percent) while 29 percent were for dealers.
