Genting HK allowed increased voting power in Star Entertainment

Genting Hong Kong Limited has declared that the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, and Department of Justice and Attorney-General have agreed to increase Genting HK’s votable stake in Australian casino operator, The Star Entertainment Group Limited (formerly Echo Entertainment Group Limited).

Genting HK’s voting right will increase to more than 10 percent, but not higher than 24.99 percent, the firm announced.

Star Entertainment holds and operates The Star Casino in Sydney, Treasury Casino and Hotel in Brisbane and Jupiters Hotel and Casino in Gold Coast, Australia.
