Hotel and casinos still seen attracting Macau graduates

Macau’s casino and hotels are still the main sectors attracting young Macau residents in the labor market, says Lao Cho Chon, deputy executive-director of the Macau New Chinese Youth Association, Macau Business reports.

Speaking at a press conference for the Youth Career Expo 2017, Lao said one of the main reasons young residents looked to the casino and hospitality sector for employment was that it offered better pay, and more diversity of sectors - from accounting to food and beverage.

The expo involves nearly 70 local companies and institutions, providing around 4,700 employment positions.

Job opportunities include the fields of hotels, gaming, technology, retail, aviation, real estate and communications, among others.
