IPI appoints Marco Teng as chairman

Saipan casino operator Imperial Pacific has appointed Marco Teng as its new chairman, replacing former chairman Mark Brown, local media reports.

According to reports, Marco Teng took the position of chairman on January 10, succeeding Mark Brown who announced his retirement in January to pursue other projects close to his family in the U.S.

Teng will be in charge of overseeing and supervising the company’s Saipan operations.

IPI said Teng has over 12 years of professional human resource management experience and “profound HR gaming industry knowledge, with extensive casino-resort opening experience.”

The company has also appointed Henry Cheang as CEO, replacing Kwong Yui Ling.

In other news, IPI has announced it is on track to complete construction of 250 rooms by August 2018. The company said it has signed an agreement with a U.S. construction company based on Guam, Pacific Rim, to complete the project.
