IPI appoints new security contractor

Imperial Pacific International Holdings, operator of the Saipan casino resort, has announced new workforce rules banning any individuals who are not authorized to enter the construction site.

On May 1, 2017, the Imperial Pacific Security Department hired Island Protection Services to secure the Garapan construction site and is ensuring that all workers, including the security contractors themselves, are lawfully employed, according to Marianas Variety.

The company said it wanted to honor its commitment to strictly enforce measures that comply with local and federal laws and protect employment opportunities for legal employees.

Workers, including contractors, entering the premises are required to show proper identification and comply with other security measures, and regular random security checks on its workers and security company are being conducted.

“As a law-abiding corporate entity, Imperial Pacific will continue to follow appropriate local and federal statutes that promote lawful employment,” the company said in a statement.
