IPI to complete hotel portion by August 2018

Imperial Pacific International says it expects to complete the construction of its villas by January of next year, while 374 hotel rooms are expected to complete in August 2018, Marianas Variety reports.

The operator shared its progress with the Commonwealth Casino Commission on Thursday.

IPI added that it is also focusing on completing the food and beverage section and the restaurant by the end of August this year.

In an interview, CCC executive director Edward Deleon Guerrero said that IPI told them that they are also working on the second floor of the gaming facility, but the focus is on the 15 villas and restaurant.

When asked about whether the new permanent casino was generating more revenue than its  temporary casino, Guerrero said it was too early to tell.

“They have more gaming tables but fewer slot machines. In Asia the gaming tables are where the activities are, but in the U.S., it’s the slot machines.

As far as the day-to-day operation is concerned, we have been observing it, watching it, and we have been monitoring it, but it’s still too early to make a meaningful comparison between T-Galleria and the new facility… In a few more days, or in a month, we should have a report.”
