IPI to host part of All Japan Poker Championship (AJPC) tournament

Saipan’s Imperial Pacific Resort Hotel has become part of the Asian Tour circuit of the All Japan Poker Championship (AJPC), with the poker event set for February 13 to 17, 2019.

AJPC said it has been adding new destinations throughout the region including new events slated for Korea and Southeast Asia in addition to Saipan, in order to grow its player base.

Mr. Sasaki Yasuhiro, Chairman of AJPC, stated: “The AJPC ASIAN CIRCUIT is the
organizer of Japan’s first international poker event. The circuit has made a success as well
as the first in Japan to hold an international event in Taiwan. Now, in 2019, we aim to hold
the AJPC ASIAN CIRCUIT in Saipan for the first Japan-based tournament to be held on the
island. We will continue to build our brand by launching tournaments in new and
exciting destinations.”
The event is expected to attract players from Japan as well as Korea and Taiwan, all part of
AJPC’s existing player base.

The event will be held in Saipan at the Imperial Pacific Resort Hotel from 13 to 17 February and include a variety of side events and cash games in addition to the main event, where buy-in has been confirmed at US$2,000.
