IR operators flock to Tomakomai

At least ten major IR operators have signalled key interest in the city of Tomakomai, according to  the Tomakomai Minpo, a local newspaper.

Specifically indicated were visits from executives of Caesars Entertainment, Galaxy Entertainment, Hard Rock International, and the Clairvest Group of Canada. Around six have visited since the beginning of the year.

It is said that about ten companies are planning to submit initial proposals to the local government this month, and some of them may be in the process of setting up offices within Tomakomai city.

For their part, the municipal authorities are planning to make overseas visits in November to the leading candidate operators, to see for themselves examples of existing IR facilities.
