Korean baseball becomes new focus for global sports betting

The relaunch of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) on Tuesday after a five-week delay has put this ordinarily marginal league at the center of attention for much of the world’s sports betting fans.

As many of these games are now being televised by the US network ESPN, most USA betting sites are beginning to offer KBO Betting.

The ten-team KBO played the first five games of its delayed regular season on its first day in stadiums emptied of fans.

Among the other safety measures are a ban on spitting, and no sunflower seeds or chewing tobacco.

Cheerleading squads, however, are allowed to perform along the sidelines of the games.

Both the games and the gambling may come to an abrupt halt at any time. Players are being routinely checked for Covid-19 infection, and if any positive cases are found it is expected that the whole league will shut down again.
