Laguna Lang Co extends concept deadline

Laguna Lang Co, operator of the luxury resort located within the Thua Thien-Hue province, announced that it is extending the submission deadline for its concepts of the resort.

The decision to extend the deadline has been made to due to the significant interest shown in the Request for Concepts, the company said in a media release.

The new deadline on 15 September 2015 gives prospective investors and companies an additional six weeks to submit their concepts for the resort, which will be managed and developed by the Banyan Tree Group.

A Request For Concepts was issued by Laguna Lang Co on 26 May 2015 for an integrated entertainment facility.

The resort recently entered Phase II of its master plan development: a condominium development and additional residential hill villas overlooking the East Sea. Phase I comprised a 57-villa Banyan Tree resort, luxury residences, golf course and other amenities. Phase IIA will include additional luxury accommodations and the possible addition of a gaming facility.

Andrew Klebanow, a partner at Global Market Advisors, the firm conducting the gaming market assessment for the games facility said Vietnam’s gaming industry is going through exciting times.

“With the potential loosening of the country’s gaming law expecting to attract more foreign investments. We believe that this extension is necessary in order to allow parties time to fine-tune their concepts as well as encourage more investors to participate in this RFC process.”
