Lucky Dragon to expand VIP gaming area

The operator behind Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday announced plans to expand its VIP gaming lounge.

The hotel and casino, which opened in December last year, was the first in Las Vegas to cater specifically to Asian tourists.

"We are very excited about the growth of our VIP segment and know these changes will be for the long term benefit of Lucky Dragon and all of our guests," wrote Dave Jacoby, chief operating officer of Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino in a press release.

"The early adoption of our rolling chip program has been very encouraging, and we're fortunate as a young property to have such a positive response to our unique high-end offerings."

No timeline was given on a planned completion date.

The resort currently features a 27,500-square-foot casino with 37 table games and 300 slot machines. It also boasts two high-end gaming areas: The Emerald Room, located on the ground floor of the property, and the ultra-luxurious, second-story VIP Gaming Lounge.
